Born in Taiwan in 1991, Su Yu-Xin explores the ocean both geographically and politically, creating stunning impressionistic landscapes that will be on view at Frieze NYC this year. While she paints delicate landscapes, Yu-Xin does not replicate photographs, as she prefers to explore broader themes of time and perception that cannot be captured in a single moment. Yu-Xin has been praised for her use of rhythm and fluidity in her pieces, and she is one of the youngest artists presenting work at Frieze NYC this year.
